C08.10 Gender and Geography

Session: Gender and Geography

Chair(s): Robyn Longhurst

Abstract:
Our Commission's philosophy has been to have both focused gender sessions and to integrate gender themes in a collaborative way, e.g. joint sessions with other Commissions such as political geography or geographical education. Of the four areas offered for Cologne, I would anticipate we would have members who would want to present on the listed theme of Globalisation and Global Change, for example in addition to that mentioned on Climate Change. At this point you will note that I have simply kept the theme of the session wide calling it 'Gender and Geography'.
