Abstract:
Pacific rim is one of the important target areas where are affected by natural disaster. East Japan earthquake and Tsunami and New Zealand earthquake should be discussed under human dimension and natural environmental dimension. Also regional planning for rebuild after mega earthquake will be disussed.

To improve links with related agencies working in geographical approach for hazard and risk. The geographical approach for hazard and risk for mitigation such as GIS technology and landscape studies.To extend the work on the role of geography in for living with natural disaster.  The Commission will make uptake of the concepts on sustainable development and promote the ideas. The mitigation method will be discussed for future. East Japan earthquake and Tsunami is one of the target issue in this session.
